As the cornerstone of a city-wide revitalization effort, Congdon Yards is redefining the future of High Point, driving economic development and transforming the downtown area. The buildings that make up the Congdon Yards campus — Plant 7, The Factory, and Stickley Furniture building — have been part of the community for decades. Once home to Adams-Millis hosiery mill, the buildings have been completely transformed into an innovative, high-tech hub for the community.

Offerings at Congdon Yards:

• The Commons – Also known as “High Point’s Living Room,” this is a dynamic public space with plenty of room to work, collaborate and connect.○Lil’s Coffee Bar. Also found in The Commons, Lil’s Coffee Bar has provisions for the movers and shakers of Congdon Yards.
• The Courtyard – This outdoor public gathering space is a place for our community to gather and host events.
• The Generator – Unlike anything else in the country, The Generator is a state-of-the-art fabrication facility developed in partnership with SCMWoodworking Technology, where designers can prototype and produce anything they dream of using industry-grade equipment that would otherwise be inaccessible.
• MCX Materials Library – Congdon Yards is home to one of two Material ConneXion satellite libraries in the United States. Innovators can use this self-service library to find cutting-edge, sustainable materials for product and space design.
• Millis Family Boardroom – Designed to inspire and equipped to accommodate groups of a variety of sizes, this venue is perfect for larger meetings.
• Plant 7 – This collection of leased office spaces includes studios for startups and small businesses, private offices for growing businesses and full-floor office suites for established enterprises.
• The Factory / The Loft – One of the region’s premier event venues, The Loft’s four distinct event spaces and two private suites adapt to events of all sizes and styles.
